No, no...don't you know the rules? Only white people can be racist. For example, if I had a television network called White Entertainment Television, or made a scholarship available to only white applicants, THAT would be racist. Forcing someone to hire an underqualified applicant because of their skin color? That totally flies--as long as they aren't white!

Sarcasm aside, this kind of thing really is divisive to bringing people of different cultures together. Racism does work both ways, and unfortunately, there are a lot of racist white people still out there. But passing laws that favor one race over another does nothing to help with that! Anti-discrimination laws and policies should be all we need; it's not necessary to specify a color that they do or don't apply to.

the blacks have been whineing for years about being treated bad..everything that happens in this country becomes a "black thing"they have black t.v but if we had white t.v. we would have them marching in the streets.they have the black entertainment awards, black music awards..ect.but if the oscars were made an all white event we would have riots in the streets.a white neighbor recently applied for public assistance but didnt get it even though she is raising her son alone and works as a waitress.the interviewer told her if she was black she could have been helped.need i say more??there are many rich and powerful blacks in this country, black buisnessmen, polititians, corporate giants.why???because they worked hard and didnt allow thierselves to be held back.they didnt cry in the streets about the white man holding them back.ignorance, bigotry, and dumb a-ses come in all colors....

No because almost everything that is not labeled ethnic is focused and targeted to the Anglo population. It allows people to have a community that they can relate to. And I am biracial so I know both ends of the stick. How can you judge thou below me when you have not experienced what it is to be black in America, I have had to deal with both so I understand, I sympathize with humanity at large and if you would look at history maybe you would have a better without bias of the condition of the US when in relation to race.

Absolutely. Not to mention racist. And Ebony Magazine.

And why don't we have spell-check so that we can use all-purpose spellings like "there" for "there," "they're," and "their"? Or, just to keep people on they're toes, we can use "their" as the all-purpose spelling on some days. Mix it up; keep 'em guessing!
