Well, if I understand your question correctly, if you are asking: "Where do the roots for Creativity in a Personality originate?"... then the following would be your answer:

1) In a suitable state of mind: alert, excited, and excitable

2) In a suitable environment: minimum irrelevant interference from the outside word (e.g. ringing phone) and maximum creative stimulation (e.g. creative reading, incremental reading, brainstorming, etc.)

3) In incubation time: the more time you give for an idea to grow, the greater the likelihood of a breakthrough association; two hours separated by a period of sleep may do more than two continuous hours

4) In motivation: there must be a need to come up with a solution and strong motivation to document and analyze the transition steps

5) In uninhibited curiosity: the mind must curiously stray into unexplored paths when new associations and unexpected solutions can be found

6) In knowledge: knowledge in relevant areas to stimulate thought processes

It really depends. This is not a matter that can be generalized, since the answer to your question varies from person to person.

These roots or origins of creativity are natural in some cases, meaning that people are born with them. In other cases, theses creative features may have been adopted as people's personalities or lives progressed.

It just depends. I know a lot of people who really lack creative skills and imagination, but if they are interested in a certain matter, they suddenly become more creative than anyone else.
There are different origins and they all have different causes.

The seeds of creativity are fostered by a child's environment - the more encouragement a child receives to explore, to experience, to touch, to feel - this is when creativity is born.

A well nurtured imagination. To be creative you need to be able to imagine the thing you want to create. Then you go on to imagining HOW you're going to do it...then see it through.
