I really don't recommend these things. First of all, unless you are overclocking your processor, don't even think about buying this. Even if you are overclocking, you are usually better off just buying something like the Big Typhoon, or investing in water cooling. Don't listen to that crap about high speed processors, there is not processor that would even come close to needing this at its original speeds, this is made for serious overclockers.

ooo, you are gonna HATE that thing
Computer smart people explaination
It is a TEC cooling, therefore it creates subambient temperatures
that causes condensation and that means it will short out your computer
If you have protection yea
but for the price
NO
TECs usually cost a good 60 bucks
then you will need it's power supply which is about 150 on average
then a good air cooler (which isn't even acceptable for TECs will be at around 50 to 60 bucks

so at 100 bucks for a thermo-electric cooling (TEC)
it has to be crap.

Not so computer smart people
thermo (t) electric (e) cooling (c)
TEC
also called a peltier for the guy who invented it
1 side gets really really cold
while 1 side gets really really really really hot
you cool the side that is hot
the other side (say that your room temperature is 70 degrees)
will reach temperatures of 30 degrees
and like a cold soda on a hot july day, it will cause water to form
also called condensation
and you hopefully know that water and computers don't work out to well when they touch.
so you will need protection
it is a spray on foam stuff
it seals your computer from water
that is the only way it will work
but for 100 bucks
i'd say the cooler is about 40 bucks (not that great)
and it has to be air for that cheap
and the TEC/peltier is about 10 (even worse)
and the power supply to power the TEC (it takes a lot of power)
it the rest, 50. (definatly not great)
a couple problems
1) a 10 bucks TEC is horrible
2) a 50 buck power supply for a TEC is worse than horrible
3) a air cooling heatsink/fan is definatly NOT for TECs
4) not worth it, this thing may destroy your cpu

What's the difference?
read the stuff uptop again

nah!! buddy ....its not a value for money .......i dont think cooling is very necessary unless you use high speed processors and that for very long periods time. These things can be very useful for Hot climates ..so,it depends wether you from those hot places?

and this heatsink is something which absorbs extra heat developed during your processor functioning. It is made up of special elements which can absorb extra bit of heat and let your processor work properly. Heating affects adversly to processing speed,it might even lead to cpu burns.

whereas in this one, they have concentrate about proper ventilation........which is important for cpu cooling too.....and if you
belong to some cool climate, then theres no need to worry about those.

Indeed, its imp. to keep a proper ventilation in cpu cabinet plus good heat sink element pasted over cpu.No matter where you live it's very important.

hope this will help! :)

Thermaltake is inexpensive and first rate. people can brag all they want with reference to the backside, coolest temperature, yet as long by way of fact the CPU is at a sturdy temp, the backside temp is quite no longer that substantial. attempt liquid cooling in case you quite need the coolest, yet regardless of each little thing, it quite is the biggest waste of money.
