I suppose this is not for the car, if it is I think investing 15 mins of your time armed with a cloth, warm and soapy water will do the trick. If its for the house and usually the quality is plastic or something similar, remove them and run a warm soapy bath, dip them in for 20 mins and casually run a cloth on each of them, rinse in warm water (43 to 50 degrees) to speed up drying and hang them back on their rail with newspapers under them to soak in the dripping, switch on the heating to speed up the process or open the windows or doors near them if its sunny. Do all the cleaning and dusting of the house during the soaking period starting with the room where the blinds are normally hung. Do not do this with fabric blinds consult a drycleaner on this to avoid damage.

The vertical blind can reduce, divert and even completely bock the rays of the sun. The vertical blinds will save your furniture and save you the time and cost of having to have it recovered. Vertical blinds can save you money in other ways. By reducing the rays of the run that enter into rooms the heat index will also start to drop. During the summer months you will save on electric and air conditioning costs. Savings of up to 20 percent are not uncommon with good strong vertical blinds. Vertical blinds can also help save money during the winter months as well. By keeping the windows covered with a good, strong vertical blind, less heat will escape. This will be reflected in lower heat and fuel bills.

Are they Fabric? If so a Professional carpet cleaning company will have a portable steam cleaner and tool (wand) to do this type of cleaning. It's quite simple to do with this machine and will save you a lot of time trying to do it yourself. But to do it yourself a portable steam cleaner with the proper upholstery wand will work just fine. The wand should be the approx. width of one panel of your blinds and have an adjustment for the amount of spray (PSI) to use as you do not need a lot of PSI to spray. For the cost of renting I would consider having a company come in to do this. Get some quotes and compare.

My mom used to wash them in the bathtub, it always worked. Make sure that you are carefull while unclicking them, if those hooks break you have to have the whole rail repaired. Also remove those stringy thing at the bottom. Leave them in some luke warm water with washing powder for an hour or two and you can also maby clean them with a nailbrush. rinse and roll the water out. hang them while still moist with the weights at the ends otherwise they might shrink. - happy washing

Drop them in a bath of warm soapy water, leave to soak change water and then rinse. Leave to drain and them put them back up with a towel at the bottom to soak up any water, instead of it running on the window ledges, leave open to dry off completely.

The best way is to hire a cleaning service, but if you have to do it yourself, I'd wash one slat at a time with any good all purpose cleaner. I wouldn't take them down.
