I wrote a personal note in a "birthday" card to my mother in honor of her 30th year as a breast cancer survivor October 25. That date is the anniversary of her surgery; not her birthday. I do this yearly to let her know how thankful I am to still have her with me.

Um... a year ago, I think... I'm not really into writing notes to friends because notes can be passed around and viewed by other people... :-)

I write notes all the time.
When I first started my job everyone would e-mail each other in the same office and not get up from their desk. Now two years later Ive managed to change the attitude- people now get up to talk to each other. (not note writing but you see my point)
Unbelievable!

I had actually made myself stop life and mail 3 cards out to people. I used to be very diligent with sending cards to people. I find it makes my day to know that I have made someone's day brighter.
