Why did the White race, in the past, colonise countries and murder the natives?

Why couldn't they just stay in Europe?

Greed, arrogance, etc. It can be very embarrassing to be white when looking at History and current events.

It is absolute insanity that government and big business, as well as celebrities, are swimming in money yet children go hungry and the sick and elderly go without health care.

What really gets me is when white people are against immigration and say people should go back to their own countries when they are not Native American. I am white and I have always been honest with my kids about Thanksgiving and other holidays or history instead of letting them believe the propaganda the schools try to feed them.

The Spanish were here first. Oh I forgot they are white too. The world is a big place. Who said it belonged to any particular race. Did they pay for it or claim it? Life is hard. There are no strait lines on the map. Do you think the Chinese ever been to Japan or the Philippines? Have any African people ever been to Spain? How did you get power to your PC today? The younger sons were pushed out of europe by the custom of primageniture - elder sons inherited everything, leaving the younger sons to scrabble for a living.

But it wasn't just the Europeans. The Chinese conquered huge swaths of land, as did the Africans, Aztecs, Mayans, and other Native Americans. The Europeans were just the most recent wave, and were equipped with better technology.

Conquest and exploitation are not "white" things. They are "human" things.

No other race has proved itself to be innocent of ambition in this regard - all have exploited others when given the chance.

And will continue to do so, whether whites are still around or not.

The "white race" is a misnomer. There is no such thing. Withing the Caucasian grouping there are several different ethnicities. Not all European ethnic groups are white, yet most European nations embarked upon some form of colonisation or other. Indeed Asian nations also used to colonise. And so for that matter did African tribes, and South American Indians. For that matter North American Indians also conducted warfare against their neighbours.
In fact, you could go so far as to say, all human groups, or tribes have always tried to excert their influence upon people around them.
But I feel that was not the answer you were looking for.
Trying to assert blame upon Europeans for their success at colonialism is difficult.
On the one hand, internal conflict within Europe became difficult as these groups increased in power and influence. This made it increasingly difficult for European ethnic groups to assert themselves over each other. Also around the 11th century, under the guise of religious crusade, many European groups became wealthy and powerful from their successed and conquests in the Middle East.
By becoming much more technologically advanced than other ethnic groups at the same time, they were able to spread this wealth gathering across the globe, until by the 19th century, most of the world was under some form of European political influence. The simple answer is Greed.
The complex answer is that it is human nature to look after yourself and those like you first, at the expense of those around you.
As for pollution, that has nothing whatsoever to do with Europeans. Every nation on Earth creates pollution to some extent or other, and outside of the USA, the worst nations are emerging giants such as China and India.
If they had of stayed in Europe passively, then outsiders would have conquered them.

As for the colonisation, we did it for the same reason the Moors did, the mongolians, the Japanese, the Chinese, the Turks....
Only we did it better and have land left to show for it.

It was white CHRISTIANS that did, and still do these things. White people should NOT be christians, it damages them psychologically. It is white CHRISTIANS that were responsible for the Crusades, the Inquisition, the Witch Trials, and the current "War" on terror, which is nothing more than a fundamentalist CHRISTIAN trying to force his personal religious views on the rest of the world. White people who are not christian do not do these things, nor do we support those that do (I personally HATE Bush, the US government and have actively taken steps against them by providing training to certain, anti-american people from a number of foreign countries.) The Agenda for murdering the natives was religiously based, they weren't christians so they weren't really human and could be slaughtered like animals. This will keep happening as long as we allow white people to be christians...the ONLY solution is to KILL ALL WHITE CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!!! The the world will be a much better place.


BTW...I AM white...but most certainly NOT a christian...I follow a REAL white mans religion....

In 16th and 17th centuries countries in Europe competed in maritime activities for procuring goods for trade in order to eliminate middle men who were mainly from gulf for spices & such goods. There was racial discrimination even in Europe,every country wanted overseas territory sans their population. They employed tricks to eliminate them and possess the natural wealth. Ultimately they became the masters & natives the servants.

i'm cool with being referred to as cracker, honky, some component derived from my complexion, and so on because i have not in any respect felt my id has led to me to be oppressed. Such words are in straight forward terms descriptive.
