Wait AT LEAST 6 weeks, then take it easy and start with light loads. Your muscles need time to repair, otherwise you will end up with a weak stomach wall, and increased risk of problems with future pregnancies, and an increased risk of hernias.

The standard amount of time to wait to begin/resume exercise is 6 weeks (postpartum), but since not everyone heals the same, you should get your Dr.'s opinion.

it all depends on how many pounds your lifting ang how long after you start to lift again.
