all golds will change your skin different colors technically so everyone that says its not real gold is wrong (or if your not sure its real gold get it check?) but i have an engagement ring thats 14k gold that causes my finger to turn black all the time 14k has 58% gold and rest is copper. which the copper causes the black to happen. all gold unless its 24k gold will turn your finger black.

Usually only cheap fashion jewelry turns your fingers or wrist black. Or it could be silver, which tarnishes. You might have an allergy to jewelry or a cheap ring. If it's a cheap ring, clean it with tarnish remover and paint the inside with clear nail polish.

It doesn't have gold if it is turning your finger black. However, you can get it dipped in gold to prevent this from happening again.

Actually my dad can't wear gold (real gold) because he has too much acidity in his skin, and it turns the gold and the skin underneath black!

first clean the ring thoughly, if you bring it to a jewler some of them clean or polish jewelry for free. Then apply a thin coat of clear nail polish and allow to thoughly dry.

I think you must deal with the stained finger, if you love the ring and will not take it off.

Real gold wouldn't do that.

paint it with clear finger nail polish on the inside, you will have to do it often but it will stop it.
