with respect to single word swear words, '****' is always going to be the time old favourite. Its very American, and seems to have taken over from ‘****’, which was the all the rage when I was about 10, probably due to it’s versatility. with respect to general expletives, '****, bollocks and ***!' can be used in place of the very British 'bugger' (in my mind a cosy, soft option). It lingers longer for prolonged satisfaction. Wanker seems to be a much maligned and slightly old fashion East-end statement that doesn‘t even seem to feature in the MS Works spellchecker any more, but by far my favourite insult is Fudge-packer. I'll leave the explanation to your imagination! Hope this helps.

Use most of them apart from motherf*cker which I think is horrendous and object if anyone uses it.
All time fave to use in a derogatory context is c*nt as I feel it lets the person know exactly what you think of them!!

Oh wow, I have to say that Mu**** Fu**** spoken in a slow overly-exagerated Texas drawl is my favourite. I also like "F***ing Hell Man" when spoken using a Mackem dialect.
I believe the British have the market on great curse words.

Bollocks.. it contains stressed "B" and "K" sounds which help release anger, whilst the double-L makes it linger on the tongue, prolonging the pleasure of saying it.

Don't know but the one I can't abide has to be the "C" word. There is absolutely no need for it and it's disgusting and crude!

Knob jockey. Although I try to make it sound classy by saying "le knob jockey!" Also that way you can say, "excuse my French," after.
