Mine's gotta be the days after 9/11. Remember when there was a reporter in front of every airport claiming that there were terrorists with razor blades inside? Classic. They were retracting false stories every day for a week!

I agree most of them to.. but specifically when media seem to add fuel to the fire because there are some people out there that will just take it to heart and go and do something about it.
Here in Australia that was a bit the case with the "Cronulla Race Riots" the media wouldnt shut up about it, keeping the public outraged. Media need to step back most times. For them its just getting the ratings a majority of the time.

Most of it... I remember seeing issue of some local news about a news station crew trying to save a PNG child from canibals... the only problem was that the two rival broadcast stations wanted to get votes so they played nasty tricks like getting the rival tv crew in jail for wrong visas... i mean... it's just crazy... they did not care about the kid, they cared about the ratings...

As for the international news... i don't think i can stomach another ounce of fact they are trying to say. THe news is no longer honest.

the most irresponsible media coverage was the israeli and lebanon war,the media in lebanon were allowed to say only certain things and show as many gruesome pictures of dead people.they had to falsify their news,as hezbulla threatened them..there were many pictures taken ,in different places.with the same people standing beside bombed out homes ,claiming it was their home, the media has said after the war, that their lives were in danger, that is why they had to write all the propaganda hog-wash
