Even if you don't share their views on life or their lifestyle... can you be tarred with the same brush?

My father used to say you could when I was a child, I wasn't sure that this transferred into adulthood, but I may be wrong... I sometimes am.

Unfortunately this is true, many people form first impressions based on many things, and your friends and aquaitences form part of this larger picture.

Damn, I hope not. I have 2 best friends, 1 is American and 1 is a very heavy drinker. What would that say about me?? Loud mouthed drunk with no sense of humour. Ooops.

Seriously, yes you can, by small minded people who i couldn't give a toss about. I have never worried what other people think of me, the differences in my friends and I are what i value the most. The fact that we can have blazing rows about issues we disagree on, yet make up 10 mins later is what makes them real friends.
Who wants to hang around with a bunch of clones???

u shouldn't don't care about what others think....nobody on this earth knows anything for sure....and especially in this area people are ignorant, all people, including you and me. Just hang with people you like, and very important: that you feel on the same level with....or look up to so you can learn from them.... but stop doing hanging out with people as soon as you find yourself changing for the worse because of their influence on you!

sad but true..if you hang out with drug dealers you know the trade eventually..if your father is a mechanic, you eventually know how to change the oil ...an apple doesnt come off an orange tree right ?...you are unique but different but yeah people judge you by who you keep in contact with....they say it isnt true but thats the jist of it ..

If you lay down with dogs you get up with fleas.

That's the old saying, isnt it? and very true.

(Doesnt apply to my gorgeous baby doggie of course, he is beautiful and flea-free!)

no one has the right to judge another person. Everyone is their own unique person, and it is what is on the inside that counts
