Take a look at the larger context. You yourself might not be all that racist (then again, you might), but 'white supremacists' have thoroughly associated that sort of language with hate. Enough that it's very hard for anyone else to use it. I'm all for reclaiming as much language as we can from them, but it's very very tricky to do so and most people will misunderstand.

I remember when black pride first started. It was a radical step for African-Americans to say out loud and publicly that their culture and their very selves had value and worth. Unfortunately, there's still a need for that.

Having a white mother and a dark farther, I wonder if i would be ridiculed for wearing a shirt saying "Proud to be 50% black and 50% white".
yeh look in all seriousness, I think people who do wear those shirts its a statement obviously brought about from the hardships their ancestors have experienced in the past.
I would think though from societys take on things you would most likely be thought as a white supremacist and thats just because thats the way, unfortunately, a majority of people think.
That's just how i see it because of seeing so much racisim about from all angles and cultures. Not just white and black.

Ideally we all should be proud to be whatever we are genetically and within that we should try to be the best human being that we can be but things are far from ideal. So if you were to wear shirt that said proud to be white people are going to think you're making some kind of racist statement even if that is not your intent.

I wouldn't wear a shirt that declared me to be a color unless I am actually that color. I prefer to be identified as an ethnic group instead of that color generalization which does not really apply anymore. There's a stigma there because from a Caucasian it would be considered racist because that's what the hate groups use in their rhetoric. From an African American it's considered as a stand because of the accomplishments of them as a people who were downtrodden and abused and have risen above that to become strong. It's unfortunate that the same words have different meaning to different people because of the actions of some.

Everybody can be proud of his skin colour, especially where his colour is discriminated, despised, hated!
But, the best solution is to get a proper education to realize that man should pride of his love for all mankind rather than for people of his skin colour.

You would be called a racist or a white supremest. Like the answer before me. Double standard with minorities. It's suppose to be OK for minorities to fight for equality. If the majority does the same, it's called keeping the minority down.

then you would see another shirt, just like all of the other shirts out there. people are going to say, feel and wear what they want, just like you posting this question. obviously, you felt something when you saw that shirt and you voiced your opinion, I say what's wrong with that

Unfortunately, you would probably be ridiculed for it.

I'm not racist. I love everyone who is good to others.
