I'm not American so I'm too familiar with the traditions, especially something like baby showers. My friend invited me and she told me I could bring diapers. So, do I wrap them or put them in a pretty bag like for a birthday or would that be too funny (or is that what's expected?)?
Also, what do you really do at a baby shower? Is it like a regular hangout party or is there something special about it?

diapers are a good present. and yes, wrap them or put them in a pretty bag. most people play games at the baby shower and eat finger snacks and have a cake of some kind. but for the most part, its mostly just to hang out and get gifts and talk about baby's and husbands.

You will want to wrap the diapers either in gift wrap or a cute bag.
Some baby showers have games and all but mostly it's about watching the mother open up the presents and eating food and talking about having babies.

It is not an actual party where you "shower the baby" it is a party were you mostly watch the mother open gifts for the baby...there is food and usually games...as for the diapers you will either want to wrap them in gift wrap or put them in a nice party bag with a card...

OH yeah, do wrap the gifts! Baby showers are alot of fun! It's where the friends and family of the expecting mother get together and give gifts for the new baby and eat and sometimes play games. Some of those games include but are not limited to, guess the babyfood flavor, guess how big the belly is and etc. Have a great time!

You would want to put the diapers in a cute bag or wrap them. You can also get anything baby related instead of just getting diapers.
Usually at showers, they have refreshments, play games & open gifts.

I'm going to my sister's in a week.
Yes, it is different and special, but each shower is different. Sometimes there are silly games, and giving advice.
Yes, I would wrap up the diapers in a nice bag, but would seriously consider giving something else too, like onsies [look like t-shirts, but wrap under the diaper and snap close] or a small toy or something.
Some modern baby showers have men and women, but traditionally they are women only. In ones I went to, we usually dressed up a little bit.

Yes, put the diapers in a nice bag with a bow or something...and expect some interesting/silly games. The games I have participated in at baby showers include:
Word scramble- Piece of paper with jumbled letters that rearrange to make a word of object used for a baby.
Memory- You are shown objects used for a baby and you look for 3 seconds, remember all you can and write it down. Who ever remembers the most items wins.
Leg Crossing Game- Everyone gets a clothes pin to put on their shirts or where ever and you must NOT cross your legs for the entire game, for if you do, someone will steal your clothes pin and you can do the same when you see someone else crossing their legs.
Toilet paper game- A regular roll of toilet paper is used for this, and what happens is that everyone guesses how many "squares" of toilet paper it will take to fit around the mommy's tummy.
Clothes pin game- 15 clothes pins are put on a string and you must try to hold as many in one hand as possible.
The games are silly, but they are all entertaining...have fun

baby showers are games and refreshments. the games are about the mom like who can guess how much weight she's gained or use string to guess the size if her growing belly, and who knows mom the best answering a questionair. its fun but i wouldn't take diapers. somestimes it can be a "who brought the best gift" game but undercover ofcourse. but if thats what you choose to bring then yes i would put it in a pretty gift bag. wrap them up with a baby shower or a gift bag and some nice ribbons
you dress causal ,they drink,eat play some games and watch the mother to be opening up the presents its fun watching what gifts they get
