It amazes me!

Eventhough we have voted no on gay marriage in several states, we the people are still wrong, we must not know what we are talking about. They do though.

They want higher taxes so they can spend my money on their social engineering programs that don't work. I must not know how to spend my own money. They know though.

Where do these arrogant people get the gall? When will they learn that the people don't want their thoughts and wallets hijacked for what THEY think is best. How many more republicans do we have to put into office before they get the message? We love this country, leave it alone.

It's just complete and utter arrogance on the part of liberals. They do indeed feel that they are smarter and more compassionate than others and that gives them the right to make decisions for others. Republicans feel that, when someone is down and out, you help them out with a little cash and some training, then give them an incentive to pick themselves back up. Liberals think that when someone is down and out, they should tax the people who are working to completely support those who are not. They don't tax themselves because most of them have moved their money offshore where it can't be taxed like the worst of the bunch, George Soros.

The whole idea of Liberalism is not what is best for society as a whole but what is best for the individual. They have a tendency to believe they are better educated and therefore have a more intelligent viewpoint. They believe as one of your answerer's stated that that conservatives are all hicks and simple minded people living in shacks or trailers down south. I'm always amused at the idiocy of these "liberal vs. conservative" debates. Both extremes are problematic of course and have deep inherent flaws. Most people, who choose not to fall into the trap of this debate, consider themselves independent. Perhaps you've heard of us -- the media calls us "swing voters." Admittedly, I vote for Democratic candidates 90% of the time; however, I don't consider myself a liberal. Moreover, I despise both the Democratic and Republican parties. Except for some minor ideological differences, the two parties are the same, both in function and attitude.

I guess you would consider me liberal, ( if the opinion of, I don't care what you do with your life), is liberal. But i see both sides trying to do the same thing. Republicans and Democrats alike. You can say the exact same things about republicans as you do democrats. Why do many conservatives try to tell the rest of the world what not to do? Why do republicans try to justify everything they do, by saying "we are protecting you from terrorists"? I can go on about liberal and conservative policies and set you straight.. But i would be wasting my time with you..
Conservatives do nothing but limit personal liberties, and you have the balls to say you "love this country. Leave it alone". Its like locking up your child in a closet his/her entire life and saying, its okay, i didn't want you to get hurt.
I don't think conservatives will be happy until every TV channel, radio station, and web site is converted into the Christian network; and until every aspect of or lives is being recorded for "our best interest".
If it wasn't for liberals, this site would not exist, because conservatives are doing everything in there power to rid the Internet of what they deem immorally wrong. So every time you log on the Internet, see a cuss word on TV, maybe a nip slip at the Superbowl, or listen to a non Christan song on the radio, thank liberals..Because Conservatives sure as hell don't want it.
