For me personally No, I have wanted to adopt internationally long before Angelina and Madonna adopted their children. I started thinking about international adoption at a young age when I read the book "Acres of Hope" and met the author while I was volunteering for Children's Miracle Network.
I think their (at least Angelinas) adoptions have made people more aware of their options when it comes to adoption. Especially since adoption in America is difficult and has no guarantees. You can adopt a child in the US and the biological mother still has the capabilities to take the child back at any time ( in most court cases the child often goes back to the biological mother). With international adoption this is not the case. You also can be more picky and there isn't as long of a waiting list if there is one at all. I think international adoptions are an excellent idea. Many of these children are left starving and with little next to nothing. If they do make it to adult hood the outcome of their lives are bleak. Where as in America an orphan will be taken care of (maybe not always in the best way but they at least have the opprotunity to make a life for themselves after they are 18). Angelina without a doubt has effected many peoples ideas about adoption since adoptions in Cambodia have gone up ten fold since her adoption of Zahara. Just make sure if you plan on adopting don't do it because it's the trend, it's one of the most important life long commitments you can make, but one of the most rewarding!

No, definately not. Im pregnant with my first child (31wks) and planning for 1 or 2 more in the future.
I admire and respect anyone that adopts a child, but i dont have much tolerance for celebrities who adopt. Their money influences adoption agencies and puts them at the start of the waiting list while thousands of couples who would love a child just as much go without and would actually give them a home better off than what a celebrity could.
The reason i say a child would be better off with a non celebrity?
Because the child wouldnt have the limelight in their faces for their whole life and they wouldnt be influenced by money. But any person who can give a child a decent home with warm, caring parents who can provide security and love is the most important thing in the world.

If I had the time and financial resources I might consider it, but it would have nothing to do with Madonna/Angelina Jolie.

ONLY ANGELINA JOLIE would be an inspiration. I saw it a good idea before, but, I think it is good for those how hesitate to see what good it is, and can do.

Oh sure!!! Parade the little darlings in front of me--I 'd pull out my check book and pick the cutest one---good God Almighty-if I had that woman's money I'd have 20 children here, taken care of and calling me "Mom"---but I'd really be a Mom!!! Grilled cheese and Campbell's Tomatoe soup for lunch!!! "Feed the dogs, do your homework, give Mom and Dad a kiss nitey" Ain't no Nanny in this house!!

look they can afford to adopt as many as 10 children cause they are filthy rich, looks like all of hollywood's about to follow the trend.
but personally, i'm not inspired.

rather helping one...i will preferred to initiate a compaign for more then one child..if i m able to afford...
they should start a NGO rather adopting a child.not inspired at all.
