I want to know what makes your heart hurt literally or is it just me? When you feel bad about something... feel sorry for someone... or miss someone terribly... when you break up with someone... when you did something very bad and feel bad about it... your heart hurts... literally. What causes it or is it just in one's own head?

I really don't know the answer to that, but I to have had this in my life. I always said "so this is what its like to have tear drops from my heart" I feel they are two of the same. When some one breaks our hearts we hurt real bad. My heart has been broken, so I have learned that just one small step at a time. Time helps to heal, I don't think I will ever be the same. I have read that people can really died from a broken heart. There have been studies done on this. I hope u feel better soon

When I found out that my husband was being unfaithful, my heart aches, literally. And my legs went limb.And I couldn't eat for a couple of weeks, when I smelled a hint of food, I wanted to vomit.

just what you said, the emotion.
you feel sad then your mind tells you that you are stupid and stuff, you think about that then your heart also reacts with you, try not to be too emotional and stuff, be happy. heartaches can lead to heartattacks you know, enjoy life! be good!pray to GOD

have no idea ur heart has it's own head. so it get sick whenever you hurt it or someone elses
