first off that is the worst time you can go, it is so crowded! but check out www.skiutah.com, there you can find flight deals hotels deals ticket prices...basically all you need to know. Big cotton wood canyon (while not as steep as little cottonwood) is less crowded, park city is fun and is really just as close to SLC as the other resorts are, Stay our of anything on the west side of the city (Kerns, West valley) not nice!
good luck, book now because everything will fill up quickly if it is not already booked

You will have to try a price search on the hotels/motels.

Any place will be fine, as we have a very good transit system here, including buses up to the four resorts: Brighton, Solitude (in Big Cottonwood) and Alta, Snowbird (in Little).

If you want to ski the Park City side, you would want to stay in Park City, as there isn't really a public transit system to connect Salt Lake and Park City. Car rentals are not cheap.

Actually, nothing will be cheap at that time.

Somebody mentioned that the crowds are horrible. I actually don't agree with that. One of the reasons I moved to Salt Lake is because so few of the locals live here because of the skiing...and there are vacationers such as yourself, but you guys don't add up to enough to clog the lift lines either. At least at Alta...that's where I hang out. Singles lines usually move pretty quickly.

Have fun in our playground. Best snow on Earth...no joke!

b est to not stay at the mountians. If you fly in, you can take the shuttle to downtown where you should stay. You can find a room for around $150 a night but you don't need to rent a car. In the morning a bus comes by every 15 minutes going to the various hills and there are enough places to eat that you never have to drive. If you drink, count on going through hell getting one. Mormons have locked down the drinking. Also, try to get tickets to a Jazz game. I don't care for basketball but the Delta center is nice and games are really fun live.

If you are renting a vehicle, seriously consider staying anywhere in Salt Lake City or the surrounding suburbs. My wife and I stayed in Sandy and drove to the resort in the morning. You are less than 45 minutes away to all the major resorts and we only spent 95 bucks a night, and could have gone even less.

There are LDS wards everywhere yet that does no longer recommend you are able to be a member of the ward. each community has non contributors in them. it may be very complicated to locate an area with basically Mormons in it. basically the very uninformed think of Utah is barely Mormons and that they attempt to transform you each and all the time. quite Mormons make very sturdy buddies. it is quite helpful to purpose Bluffdale (the factor of the mountain) it quite is the place the penitentiary is. I doubt there are a number of Mormons there. I even have lived in Utah over 40 years so i comprehend what i'm talking approximately.
