Why is it that during summers a man/boy gets or asked to get a short haircut or a head shave?

While most of the women (atleast in India) do not keep their hair short (Head shaving is almost very very rare).Doesnt the summer heat has no effect on women?

I am an American woman and I have had my head shaved in the past. Women do feel the heat but it's not considered attractive for a woman to have short hair. Almost every day, my stepfather tells me to grow my hair long or I will never get another husband. Men who I'm only slightly acquainted with will ask me why I don't grow my hair. Apparently long hair is a major attraction for a man and many women want to attract men.

I always cut my hair short in the summer because its really hot and sweaty. And with short hair it keeps my head cooler and I sweat alot less. It's all about staying as comfortable as you can!

We women tend to tie up our hair when the heat becomes unbearable. All men can do is they'll crop their short hair even shorter as they cannot tolerate the heat. And they call themselves the stronger sex.

guys shave because it's hot in the summer and they can. girls who shave their heads get weird looks from strangers. but why shave them during the summer when it's the time we show off our bodies and look ultra pretty?

maybe its just a culture thing that keeps women from cutting their hair. also, another thing may be that thier boyfriend/husband want them to keep thier hair long. I personally get my hair cut every summer to about shoulder length.
