I once encountered a site which required me to submit my idea at their site. But there weren't any guarantees that they wouldn't use it without my permission. I am looking for a more serious and honest buyer, where can I find one?

Selling a script is a long and complicated process, but the absolute first thing you need to do is *register your script*! If you don't, there's nothing to keep someone else from stealing and selling your idea. You seem to be in the UK (university, not college) so you should contact the Writers' Guild at...

...and investigate the registration process. And if your idea is just an idea and not a script, then you're likely out of luck. I think that the UK law is the same as in the US in that ideas are not protectable, only finished works.

Would it be a low budget movie? I know a guy that wants to be a director. And I want to be an executive producer. However, ANYONE can think of a plot. Come up with a SCRIPT/SCREENPLAY, then we'll talk. Email me when you're ready.

Try local theatre's and the people that are involved with it. I mean dinner theatre ( live productions) They might have ideas on where to connect you.......
