i don't think its turning into a racial slur. but i think its kinda condescending because not very white man is boy. we all know that if some one called a black man a "black boy" all hell would break loose. if you're talking about a white man that you don't know the name of than it more polite to say white guy since its more appropriate in context.

Yep. Black guys have referred to me by sayin "Man look at that whiteboy doin ____" for example and it pissed me off real bad. The fact is, if I was to ever say look at that black boy they'd have a problem with it. Not that I really care anymore, as it seems racial injustices are something we as white America are having to face these days

Depends on how it's said. I was dancing in a nightclub, getting my groove on and not caring about how I looked (although I don't think I looked bad), and as I left the dancefloor a Philippino-American gave me a dirty look and said "White boy" in an aggressive and insulting way. This was in Japan, where he looked more or less like the rest of the people and I was in a definite minority.

As a black woman, I don't consider it derogatory or disrespectful. An exception may be allowed in the rap industry where many feel a "whiteboy" is out of his place.

Not really. A "white boy" is a boy who is white. It's not like n!gger or chink. If you called someone that and it was the first time they heard it, they wouldn't know what it was. Maybe you mean the term "cracker."
