Possibly their dreams (like seeing people) are about what they have experienced during their days, what they secretly hope for etc. If they saw pictures in their dreams we wouldnt know because they wouldnt be able to express it (they couldnt associate it with something) and anyway who is to say we even see pictures in our dreams ... what if we just imagined , in word, in our heads and then created a "picture" in our brains that we dreamt about?

am I making any sense?

From what I understand, their thought patterns are different, they see in sound. Like deaf people have non verbal thinking. If a deaf person never has spoken or heard, they dont have dreams of voices or language. Babies are the same way, if you apply this to the blind, they see light patterns and hear sounds, so they would dream of sounds, smells and light. If they have no basis on what objects look like, then I bet they cant dream about objects they have never seen,

I imagine they dream about exactly the same stuff you and I do - just without the pictures.

Loss of one sense (sight) doesn't make you entirely senseless.
