Can spyware or virus be programed into flash videos?

They are as safe as the viewer you use to view them. In the past, security flaws have been found in many of the popular viewers. Many of these flaws could allow the attacker to execute remotely malicious code on the machine on which the flawed viewer is trying to view a specially crafted flash video.

They are actually quite safe, but keep in mind that anything can have a virus embedded in it (even a harmless looking image).

So long as you have both a decent anti-virus application, as well as malware protection (personally recommend Ewido here), then so long as you exercise common sense, you should be fine :)

Oh, if viewing Flash movies though, I would recommend using either Firefox or Opera, as the Flash Player plug-in for IE is activeX controlled, which DOES thus leave more of a an open back-door if you do encounter a "spiked" flash movie

mostly they are safe, but there's a possibility for spyware/virus' to be implanted
