Someone please help! I washed my husband's shirt (seperately) only to open the washer and find it covered in shredded paper and set in to the fabric. He had left a note from work in the front pocket!!! I have rewashed it, shook it, rolled lint-remover on it...what else can I do so that it isn't ruined? THANKS for your help!

The same exact thing happened to me. Turns out liquid fabric softener added during the rinse cycle gets this out. The other thing to try is turning the shirt inside out. Somehow this gets out all sorts of weird stuff you would never expect.

I'd think washing it again and drying the paper would end up in the lint trap. I forget Kleenex quite often and it looks like a mess, but after drying a good shake takes care of anything that didn't make it's way to the lint trap.

Usually the dryer works great for paper or tissue. Just dry like normal, if you don't usually put it in the dryer then put it in with no heat and it should take care of the paper without causing any problems. Don't sweat it anyone who's done the laundry has done this.

best way is to put in tumble dry on very low heat or no heat, all the shredded paper will accumulate in the lint trap

perhaps take it to the cleaners, what kinda friggin paper was it... soak it first next time you wash it to soften the paper so it should slip right off, maybe hand wash?
