What is the corresponding English name for the Hispanic "Diego?"?

I used to know, once... Now I'm farting around looking for baby names starting with "D" for our future pregnancy, and can't think of it for the life of me!!!

Did it start with a D? Because i looked it up and it said that Diego was similar or such to James?

Is it Doug? Douglas? Not sure. What's wrong with just naming your baby Diego? If you love that name, go on and use it, it don't matter if it is ethnic or not. Good Luck with the new baby.
