Sounds like an in-grown hair. Check with your GP. May need to get it lanced.

Either that or your starting to grow a tail. Been attacked by any wearwolves recently? There's a lot of them around at Hallow'een

My husband managed to cure his despite the hospital consultant saying that he would definitely need surgery. It is called a pilonidal cyst, happens more in men than women and usually before age 40. The cyst sets up below the coccyx or tailbone in a redundant channel and antibiotics don't help. Once it becomes infected is difficult to deal with.

As we only used homeopathic cures when we were younger I suggested silicea which expels pus or foreign objects. Husband was self employed and couldn't manage to take off the 3 months recuperation from the op. This is what he used. A larger dose for acute condition to start with and then low continuing dose for months.

When he returned to consultant and said he wouldn't be needing the op. after all, the medic jabbed him at bottom of spine in disbelief. He had been convinced that infection in one of these cysts would not go away without surgical intervention. That was 20 years ago and there has been no reoccurence.

A warning is that silicea uses a centrifugal action and should not be used if anyone has pins in broken bones, pacemakers or any stray bullets in as these could move to another location which might be catastrophic.

If anyone is not familiar with or confident about use of homeopathic medications, they just need to book a session with a homeopath for advice.

People are sceptical about homeopathic remedies but we've found them to work very well in this family and if they're good enough for the Queen of England!.......

I had an infection in the same place a few years ago it cleared up with a course of anti-biotics and then came back again so back on the anti-biotics which did the job again.

The doctor did say if you've had it once you're likely to get it again because of the scar tissue and if it becomes a problem they would remove the scar tissue.

So, go to the doctor explain the problem and the amount of time you've had it, hopefully they'll treat it and it'll go away permanently.

My boyfriend had one of those in exactly the same place. When he eventually got it checked out, it turned out to be an ingrowing hair. He had to have it surgically cut out and spent the next month laying on his front.

One consolation though, he was more than happy when a nurse had to come round every day to clean the wound. That certainly put a smile on his face!!

Get it checked out. If puss is leaking from it then it is an obvious sign of an infection. Don't be embarrassed. Doctors see this kind of thing every day.

Almost definately a pilonidal sinus. Get rid of this homoeopathically with Silica alternating with Hepar Sulph. Consult a homoeopath in your area for help - don't go down the surgery route as it rarely helps - the problem keeps recurring. I've ended up treating a lot of these as post-surgical cases & they are difficult to clear in this case. Best to catch it before intervention & homoeopathy is gentle & successful. Hope this helps.

I think the bottom. I don't know why but I've always had a fear of the top floor of buildings. Not only am I afraid of heights but ever since I was little I've been scared of falling through the ceiling. Although I think it would be worse if the ceiling fell on you......

Sounds like a bug bite to me. You may want to try putting some type of antibiotic cream on the bump. If you are talking about down in the tailbone area, that is probably a pilonidal cyst and those are no joking matter. I have had this problem and the surgery incapacitated me for two months. I would not wish this type of surgery on my worst enemy.

go see your GP asap, there is a medical condition in boys where a hair grows inverted in to base of the coccis, it gets infected and needs to be surgically removed, you'll probably spend a few days in hospital and have to sit on a blow up rubber ring for a while as its quite painful but its a minor op and you'll never have to go through it again.

I know several guys who've had this problem and if you leave it it will only get worse until you can't sit down. so please go see your GP and get it sorted.

This sounds like an ingrown hair. You really should see your GP as soon as possible as this could turn into a pilonidal sinus, which you can google and find out about. They are painful and can be embarrassing, requiring packing and dressing and sometimes surgical intervention. If you see your doc just now for treatment, you can avoid all that.

It might be an abcess. If so, don't wait to see your gp -- it'll get a lot worse quite quickly. Forget homeopathics, you'll need antibiotics and possiby quick surgery to get rid of it and the bits of dead tissue that will result from the abcess.
