My wife had this too and here's some information we'd found:
Eumenorrhea denotes normal, regular menstruation that lasts for a few days (usually 3 to 5 days, but anywhere from 2 to 7 days is considered normal).[3] The average blood loss during menstruation is 35 millilitres with 10-80 mL considered normal;
so you can be normal even at only 1/3 of the average flow.

if you are seriuosly concerned then go see a gp. What is your normal? Periods do change from month to month. there could be many underlying factors that could cause your periods to alter. this could be due to poor nutrition, stress, pregnancy, low body fat..... the list goes on. I feel that instead of asking on go and seek medical help, as many people will just give you all sorts of advice. Do not worry as this will have an effect too.
good luck- I personally dont think its anything serious so dont panic.

You are having abnormal menstruation. The number one cause of missed menstruation is usually pregnancy. However, there are other causes and one of it is hormonal imbalance. Here, doctors give you hormones to correct it. There are also other cases, as in endocrine problems which will cause amenorrhea, or absence of flow.
Better consult your obstetrician. A pregnancy test has to be done and an ultrasound either pelvic or transvaginal ( if you arent a virign anymore ) or transrectal ( if you are still a virgin).

the average is meant to be about 800ml of fluid you loose. but women can vastly vary if you still worried go an have a chat with your doctor or your mum. and bear in mind if you have only recently started up periods they'll be lighter than you'd excpect.

how do you know how much it should be, every one is different and lose different amounts, there is no correct amount. if your not having any other symptoms that are making you ill or in pain, just get on with it and don't worry about it, there's no need

everyone is different - you could be dehydrated. The average is only 3 tablespoons of blood anyway
