do i need to install a video card? and if yes, how much memory do i have to intall and what other things do i have to take into considerations?

if its an older laptop, its not made to hadle that kinda program, get all the memory you can. if its newer, theres just no GB that came with it, or no memery left

usually older laptops are not capable of playing such a large file, such as your vcd movie. Try closing all programs, and I mean all. Internet, MSN, MS Word, even the icons that indicate security and firewall. Make sure you unplug your Ethernet cord. Once you close all these unnecessary programs, your comp will work faster, therefore you should be able to watch vdc movies.

you might want to try and upgrade your ram first ('mout of memory used at that moment causing a faster process with the larger amount (basically)) then a new vid card, or such.
