In Illinois, immigration is a hot topic this election year. Republican candidates are using it as their primary tool in ads. What we as voters need to do is consider what Republicans have not done in their 6 years in power here, not what they say they are going to do to illiminate illegal immigration and secure our borders. Republicans lied about WMD to take us to war with Iraq. They have increased our national deficit more than ever historically documented. They have not done anything they said they would do and they cannot be trusted. Immigration is the new wedge issue, but not one that is likely to be properly addressed until we as a nation stand up and say "enough is enough" and hold all of our elected officials responsible.

I don't think which State matters for this mid term. It's time to change party not because the Democrats are better but because it's about time to switch so there's check and balance for the Government and Administration. Whichever party is in power for too long, problems emerge. For the past 12 years, the Republican Party has done so much in order to keep their party in power for ever that they have neglected the average American people. They are only working for the very wealthy because these people are able to make huge contributions to their party's campaigns, which in turn can help them stay in power. For now the Republican party has become too corrupt and scandalous, these people need to be replaced.
