If you are like me, some of those things are vital tools for me business. I keep my calendar and client lists on my PDA. I keep my cell phone for emergency purposes and to keep in touch with family, etc. I would need to actively plan to be unplugged.
Interestingly, the 6th graders are my daughter's school are on a 3-week "media fast": no tv, radio, computers, not even newspapers. The challenge is to get the kids to see how much of their time is sucked away by computers and other distractions. I can barely make it a day and bet you can't either.l

You are doing it. It is not so bad to have nothing to do except but be on this site all week-end. It could be worse, we could be stuck in an outhouse, with no toilet paper, no way out, and no clothes pin to plug your nose with. Go with the flow.

Take some really long walks, go swimming or other athletic activity. Play some board games with your friends.

Go cold turkey???!!! Are you insane!!!??? Just the thought of you doing it makes me kind of nauseous. When will they come up with Methadone for-computer-addicts? My name's already on the list of candidates for first experimental trials.

absolutely not... that's too much torture. I could definitely do without the tv does that count for something.
