can you give me actual facts of one "good thing" and one "bad thing" that both Clinton and Bush have done during their presidency.
DO NOT mention anything about Clinton's Impeachment becuase that had nothing to do with his job as president.
I want hardcore actions that bettered the country please.
This is a political science project that i am doing.
Thanks

Are you serious? You think that it was our business what Clinton did in his persoanal life. I agree with you that the office of presidency is more than just politics, but Clinton's affair didnt lower the moral of this country. And taxpayer's dollars shouldnt have been spent paying for the investigation, because it shouldnt have been investigated in the first place. good ideas though.

Bush will be commented on plenty. I think what stands out most about Clinton's adminstration is the straggering success of the economy, and his staggering failure in Rwanda.

You ask a good, simple question; you deserve a good, simple response. You asked for facts; you are getting mostly opinions. Of course, choosing only ONE "good" and "bad" thing inevitably leads to opinion, but I have tried to phrase my choices in factual terms and not give my opinions as to why they happened or why I consider them "good" or "bad."
CLINTON
One good thing: The budget was balanced during the Clinton administration, and hence the national debt was lower than it otherwise might have been.
One bad thing: Hillary Clinton was appointed to head up an effort to deal with the problems associated with medical care and health insurance; negotiations with a Democratic majority in Congress did not produce a plan that would be enacted nor respond effectively to a media blitz by forces opposing such a plan.
BUSH
One good thing: After 9/11 the President stood as an icon of American unity in a time of stress, and he was joined by both parties in Congress standing together on the Capitol steps and negotiating legislation to deal with homeland security.
One bad thing: The USA invaded Iraq, in a unilateral, preemptive action, based on questionable intelligence; hence, offending several allies, withdrawing signficant support from the effort to close in on terrorists in Afghanistan, and providing a recruiting ground for al-Quaeda.
Now, I could name many more "good" things and "bad" things for both presidents, and I could draw a balance between the two. But you didn't ask for that, so I will restrain myself. I'll just say that I don't think either one of them will be ranked by historians up there with Teddy Roosevelt and FDR.
Thank you for a thoughtful question. I'll look forward to other staight-forward answers. Good luck on your poli sci project.

The impeachment had everything to do with his job as president. If our nation wasn't so wrapped up in that scandal, we might have had a better eye to discover terror plots against our country. It cost lots of taxpayers money to investigate, which could have been put to better use elsewhere. Not to mention he continued to social and moral decline of our country. The office of the President is more than just laws and policies.

Clinton balanced the budget two years in a row. He bombed the hell out of Kosovo...and I mean civilian Kosovo.
Bush paused before reacting to the WTC bombing, before he invaded Afghanistan. And then he hasn't stopped...felt he could run two wars at once.

well... a president is somewhat limited since they can't make legislation, only approve it...
but I like what Clinton did with the debt and deficit...
and the prescription drug plan for the elderly was ok under Bush, some bumps when it started, but it is helping several people...
both supported NAFTA, CAFTA, free trade with China... that's not something I like from either one of them...

Some many answers and all before mine are good to, but the things I rate them on are what didi they do good or bad for the US. Clinton first: good he cleared our debitand had a huge reserve when he left office, bad thing he signed NAFTA .. noth american free trade act.. it allows mexican and canadina trucks to move freely around in our country without Insurance on their vehicles, no safty inspections on them, put 10's of thousands of amearican transportation companies out of buisness. He signed new welfare acts into effect, offering more money to the already government dependant people to suck up freely. lowering government standards for government jobs, removing backgrouns checks on foreign students.. HELLO 9/11??????
Bush Good : deffended American when we were attacked, Clinton failed to do this 3 times before..Bush also signed into act a irs refud that every one got in 2002..I got back $800.. He signed into act a bill that put a lid on how much control your INSURANCE has over your medical treatment

Failed to retaliate for USS Cole
Failed to retaliation for US Embassy bombings
Failed to retaliate for first WTC attack

Bush: Turned our economy around & got us out of a recession in record time despite the worst terror attack in US history & an epidemic of corp. scandals.
Clinton: Turned a blind eye to N Korea's nuke program.
