I didn't see The View, but I do know a little about this. When the big scandal about Catholic priests molesting children erupted a few years ago the current pope, who was not pope at the time, was put in charge of dealing with the problem. As far as I can tell his solution was to continue with business as usual. Priests accused of molestation were moved from place to place instead of prosecuted and thrown in jail. Also, accusers were paid huge settlements to avoid embarrassing trials. Watch the movie A Twist of Faith to learn about one such story.

straight forward answer isn't any, Mat 23.8-10. Jesus became referring in basic terms to non secular leaders and did not recommend what he suggested actually and genuinely. otherwise how does a baby communicate over at the same time with his father or instructor? be conscious that "Mr." or "Mrs." is a spinoff of the be conscious "draw close", a twin of "clinical specialist" is the Latin be conscious for instructor. Jesus became exaggerating to make a level, as he typically did (eg Matt. 5:29). Jesus condemned the misuse of authority particularly than using particular words of address. even as Stephen became on trial till now the Sanhedrin (the Jewish extreme council of clergymen and elders) he addressed them as "brothers and fathers" (Acts 7:2). This seems quite important because the Scripture says that Stephen spoke less than the muse of the Holy Spirit (Acts 7:fifty 5). a million Cor 4:15 - "even although you've 10000 guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I grew to change into your father by the gospel." different references to non secular father-son (or father-baby) relationships: contained in the OT, some examples are Gen. 40 5:8, activity 29:16, Isaiah 22:21, 2 Kings 2.12, 2 Kings 6.21. contained in the NT, Paul referred to as Timothy his baby or son (a million Cor. 4:17, a million Tim. a million:2, 2 Tim. a million:2, a million Tim a million:18, 2 Tim 2:a million, Phil. 2:22). also see Titus a million:4 and Phil 10.

If the The Veiw is your source, I'd think that you've hit it right on!
A Catholic preist is responsible to the Pope through Apostilic Succession. He is the living embodiement of St Peter on Earth or Jesus (if you want to take it that far). But end the end, is every Republican neighbor you have responsible for the condition of the country. That is the kind of aurgument proposed.
No, the Pope is not responsible for molestation that happenned thirty years, no less than one year ago.

The Pope is the accepted and recognized leader of most Catholics. Priests (fathers) are morally accountable and responsible to their own conscience, not the Pope's.
The AMA, the ABA, the ATA, the NTA, the AFL-CIO, Boy Scouts of American, and other professional organizations make, and have made, every effort to protect members of their organizations who have been, or are accused of, molesting boys. Sexual predators are everywhere. Can you guarantee your Little Leaguer is immune just because you don't condone molestation?
