Any pet is only worth the money if you appreciate it. I have a couple horses - they're worth the money for me because I ride them almost every day. They're warm and soft and good companions, just like any pet.
The other charm about horses is that if you become a good enough rider, you can enter in competitions and win money back. You can also work up experience to help in movies, magazines, etc. If you make horses your life, you'll make more money than you spend.

But if you leave the poor thing standing around in a stable all the time with no attention, then it won't be worth it.

They are expensive to keep, that is not a lie. We are out to sell our horse right now as it is for the money issue. However, if you can afford it and have the time, it is definitely worth it.

If you can be out at the barn at LEAST once or twice a week, then it is worth the money. Horseback riding has done so much for me. It's erased a good bit of fear, developed confidence, gotten me closer to nature, and definitely been good for me physically. Again, if you can afford to have a horse, and have the time, it's worth every cent.

I grew up on a small farm. My sister and I had a horse. My brother, he was smoking pot. He didn't care about having horse. My dad maintained the fences because he also raised beef. We ate the cows, but not the horses. Well, we ate a horse but or one of ours. The horses were a lot of expense, grain, hay, vet, shoes. They are a not for profit hobby. I am not complaining. I can ride English and Western. I can put on and take off a saddle. I can handle myself around a horse and can green-break a horse. I choose not to have one for two reasons. The expense and time.

you are very right that riding and keeping a horse healthy is very costly, but I definitely think that it is worth it. Maybe if it is to expensive you could consider leasing a horse. You still pay half of the board in most cases, but you own half of a horse as well!

Hope this helped!

They are VERY expensive to keep, but when you bond with your horse, and can go on a ride and fell The freedom and the power from such a remarkable animal then you will KNOW that it is worth every dime that you are out... YES they are worth the money

If you have to ask that question, then maybe you already know the answer. As I sit here typing this, I am waiting for my 5th horse to be delivered. Her purchase price is costing me more than I ever thought I would pay for a horse (yes, I'm on a payment plan.lol), and she & the others will cost me a hell of a lot more over the course of their lives. But for me, life wouldn't be worth the trouble if they weren't in it. If you're only worried about how much it is going to cost, don't buy one.

Only you can answer that question. It depends on what you want and what your priorities are...horses are great companions and bring a lot of joy. They are also money pits and time syphons, you need to know what you're getting into. To me, horses are worth it. I've chosen a career path where I will make enough money to afford several horses. If you are not 100% sure you want to invest time and money into a horse, I suggest finding a cheaper hobby.

Horses are expensive to keep.

They also are a great source of income.

1. Breeding

2. Race Track

If you have the money and are capable of providing the resources then a horse will be a benefit and not a struggle to keep.

It depends on you. I love horses and horseback riding and love to jump and show and really just to spend time with horses. So for me buying a horse was completly worth the mouny! I bonded with my horse and gained a good friend and love going out to the stable for jumping lessons or just to ride him around in the fields bareback, to relax nad spend time with my horse. But if your not serious about wanting that kind of stuff, then no. You shouldnt buy a horse if you arnt going to love it and care about it, and if you dont then its not worth it. So it depends on you, if thats what your looking for then yes, you will soon after buying the horse realize its worth the mouny in everyway!

first of all, what horse has a temperament of 0? Is it ineffective? Secondly, have you ever seen those horses in individual? i do no longer basically like the finished "p.c.. them up on the airport of your decision." transport a unmarried horse on an airplane outweighs the expenses of those horses mixed. Are you particular it quite is not a scam? i might quite do your homework in this one, flow to the pony, have them vetted, have the stallion gelded, experience them, and then evaluate. In immediately's financial gadget, you may get a nicely broke horse for $2500, shown and registered. in simple terms bear in recommendations, if it quite is too sturdy to be real, it in all risk is.
