i know many of us are addicted to Korean dramas...and so do i!!!!!!
in fact when did the trend start?
and why are people so addicted to this new culture?
are there any special qualities of Korean dramas which HK dramas do not hv?

Well, I'm a korean drama big fan too. I think Korean drama popularity started since late 1990s, you know, Korean Wave? That's what people called it. I think Korean film got popular (Shiri, JSA, My Sassy Girl) first, then the tv drama started too. People like it because it's different from Hollywood's film, it has great actors, great plot, great OST. For me Korean drama offers something unique and new. HK, Chinese, and Taiwan tv dramas' plots are so boring and easy to guess. Btw, my all time favorite K TV drama is Endless Love. You can find a lot more in

Um, I know nothing of these alleged Korean dramas. I did, however, make a Kim Jong Il joke today... does that count?
