So in my dreams over the past years, the person that plays the part of my boyfriend is a guy i went out with from 16 to 21 (i am 26). no matter what, he is always my boyfriend. In real life i have had boyfriends since him and ones that i have had falling more in love with so why him? any ideas?

he is your definition of "boyfriend". you are not falling more for him since he is and probably should be long gone by now. just an archtype to represent "boyfreind in your head.
