No. Dreaming occurs unintentionally when your brain goes into it's "sleep state". We don't know what dreams are made of. Some speculate it is what has happened, some speculate it is what is happening, and some speculate it is what will happen. Some speculate that it it total randomness of your thoughts put together.

"Day dreaming" and thinking are intentional, therefore are not dreaming.

No. Thoughts/thinking are what go on with the conscious mind and are generally something that the person can control.

A day dream is a thought.

A dream is what happens when a person is asleep, and the subconcious mind gets involved in what goes on in dreams.

When dream is used in the context of, "He has a dream of becoming a rock stock" it is an entirely different meaning of the word "dream".
