im in this same situation myself...want to start to try to learn to dj, but i dont want to blow alot of cash on it

check out some of numarks dj kits, also hard to find records (htfr.com) has some great and cheap dj kits. Generally what your want to look for in a vinyl turntable is a pitch control (speed) atleast 8 or 9 percent up or down, also directy drive engine with a few kilos of power behind it.

this is the best site ive found for begginers, good luck and dont go all in on something your not sure your good at or like

Here start with something cheap, pro-style that you can hook up to a home stereo until you get good:

After you get good, you can use this same system, add a real amp:

And some speakers:

When you are REALLY ready to rock the house, you're going to want to add this 18", 1000 watt powered subwoofer!!!:

Don't forget CABLES and a good set of headphones. They are expensive but oh well.

Good luck!

You should just go get a propper education so you can get a real job. Thousands of wannabe DJ's wind up flipping burgers....like my nephew.
