Thsi is kind of a ridiculous question. Take it with a grain of salt (and a pinch of pepper?)

I sleep a lot in my free time. Naps, sleeping, I love it. If I'm happy, it lets me drift off into a dream while thinking only of whatever is making me happy. If I'm unhappy, it lets me escape from reality for a little while. I don't spend ALL my time sleeping or anything, but it's frustrating when people act like it's a bad thing. Exactly what is so great about being awake?

Actually, Chroni, you can DREAM about those things, and isn't that just as good?

Having too much sleep is bad for your health because if your body doesn't move for long periods of time, your immune system weakens. So, that is why sleeping a lot is bad. But, if you get enough physical and mental exercise everyday, you can sleep as much as you want. Warning: don't become a boring loser.

Being awake allows you to experience new things - only if you choose to experience them. However, if you choose not to experience new things, then being awake is almost like sleeping except every once in a while you'll have to interact with other people.

I guess it's not really a bad thing (I tend to do it lately.... I am a few weeks inbetween jobs). I understand what you mean. But, on the other hand, it can take away a lot of quality time you could spend doing something productive. I know by being off all week, (I didn't get really moving untill noon or so), I could have got so much more done around the house!

Awake means having to get my butt out of bed and go to work, it means housework, shopping, cooking...etc. I agree with you. When I sleep, I go off in my own little world and there is nobody to argue with me, nobody to treat me like crap, no rude customers...etc. I have a lot of trouble falling asleep, so every minute I spend in actual sleep and dream are really precious to me.

Most people don't get the minimum sleep of 8 to 10 hours. So, I say "Good for you."

But can you have sex, drugs, and rock n' roll while sleeping? I don't think so.
