...just heard that the parents of the wee bairns who died in Corfu will be '...talked to, by the police' when they fully come to their senses in hospital. Does that mean that they indeed had a hand in the last hours of their lives, or are the small players of the media enabling the big players (id est; populist tabloid press) to 'sex up' suspicions, of whatever form, in the days to come?

Nice one, Forgetful...just read up on your 'curriculum vitae' and come to the conclusion you'd lived in London a wee bit too long for your own good.
Come on, man - we both hail from the same country, where the press, now and then will dash away feelings and Gods' 'supernatural skills' in order to get one up on their rivals - that was my point...the current McCartney circus a case in point (and they're alive, bedamned...but we've seen past tabloid 'verdicts' delivered on people who had died, irregardless of what their families will feel like). We both fear the worst of what will happen thereafter, and like it or not, the press will be eager to look into the mental health of parents and anything which seems like something they feel the public aught to know will be aired, much to the disgust of many...and that is something you, me, the family and even God will not be able to control.

The couple don't know the wee souls are gone yet. I believe that it is on the advice of the Docs that the Police should delay speaking to them - because they don't know.

There is nothing suspicious about the police wanting to talk to them - routine if nothing else.

Such a tragedy, only time will solve this... not that it seems to stops the media speculation.

This is an absolute tragedy for the family, and it"s obvious that the authorities will need to question the parents. I don"t think there is any suggestion that they were involved in any misdemeanour. Although we don"t know yet, it would appear to be exhaust fumes from some sort of heater in the apartment. This is just another example of the poor standards of maintenance that persist in some Countries. It should be mandatory to check all gas appliances at regular intervals. If hoteliers were not prepared to do this then they should be closed down. I wonder if the travel agents even bother to ask, or is it a case of "send them there, because we can make more money" Come on people, clean up your act.

Yes Asbo. Perhaps you are reading too much between the lines. If you were to put the feelings of the parents first, under the law which states that people are innocent until proven guilty and treat them as innocent when they are conscious enough to register what has happened, I think you would be sensitive and delay telling them until they are physicially strong enough to withstand the shock.
It so happens that the mother now knows and she is inconsolable. Her pain can only make mums and dads around the world weep with her.
My prayer is that God will comfort them supernaturally, like He often does with people who know Him, and that they will find their hope and security in Him for the rest of their lives.
