I find the Canadians more of a pest than the Mexicans with their funny accent and they kinda smell once they thaw out after crossing the border

Look at how many towns there are on the border where the town is bisected by the US-Canada frontier:

Also there are lots of buildings that are likewise bisected:

I am told that US Customs buys privately-owned houses straddling the frontier whenever they come on the market -- and demolishes them.

Well, actually, because the U.S./Canadian border is experiencing the opposite dilemma in comparison to the U.S./Mexican border. Whereas, illegal aliens into the U.S. from Mexico is the issue on the southern border, Canadians have utterly no desire to cross the northern border into the U.S. In fact, the northern border problem is with U.S. citizens going into Canada to take full adavantage of their more cost effective and affordable consumer markets.

ffsotus - who joined the fight against Hitler in 1939 instead of waiting two more years? Canada, not America. We are supporting America in Afghanistan but not Iraq as our preevious PM was not convinvced there were WMDs. Nothing has happened in the past three years to show he was wrong. So don't you try to lecture Canada about standing up to dictators.

Anyway, if you build this fence and Bush continues in office, you'll have millions of right-thinking Americans climbing over it.

the fence is there for security, not power. I dont think Canadians are gonna run to America, so why waste that money on the fence?

Smell, and accents don't have anything to do with government. I thought you might want to know.

It seems to me that if anyone should want to build a fence between Canada and the US, it would be the Canadians.

The Canadian border is nearly 3 times the size of the Mexican border, so you would think that more terrorists could come through there.

If the president really wanted security- he would focus on that border, but we all know this isn't just about security now don't we?

Perhaps because no one here cares if Canadians smuggle cheap prescription drugs and all those RUSH CD's into the United States.

Because unlike Canadians, Mexicans are uneducated, costly to have around because they breed like blacks and in general, just a pain in the @$$. However, GW Bush is NOT building this fence. He just signed the bill to get votes. He will NEVER build the fence. NEVER.
