If you know the name of the file search for it using "Search" off the Start Menu. If for some reason the file is hidden you can unhide it by opening Windows Explorer and going to "Tools - Folder Options - View" and checking off "Show Hidden Files and Folders". Or if you mean how do you find the virus - scan it with an antivirus program.
There are free scans on
http://www.trendmicro.com
and
http://www.symantec.com
You should have a good and up to date antivirus on your PC already. Let that be a lesson.

hmmm..will if you know what file it is it wouldnt be a problem. if you have a mcafee virus scanner then there no prob. all you have to do is right click on the file click scan then automatically it'll find the virus for you. just make sure that all internet connection are off. cause you'll never know if it can connect to the internet once it is found. not sure though if its effective. as long as your virus scanner is updated then no big...O_o
