What we have here is a failure to communicate...it sounds like the biggest evil is men's and women's insistence on getting the bigger piece of the pie at the other's expense. Everyone lies; it is a mark of humanity. What you do in response is a mark of your character. If you end up with a habitual liar and can't live with it, then get out. Realize that people can't read each other's minds and men (and women) will often act steathily and surreptitiously out of fear of the other party's response. If the communication is bad, the relationship will be bad. What many people think of as betrayal is a lie propagated to a "scenario" by someone who is afraid of having a secret found out. It is an attempt to hide the person's weakness, or sometimes their discontent. If you just think of the man as a weak, frightened soul, then it becomes a little easier to think of him as human and to deal with him on a rational level, without overreacting. He may be good, but weak, so give him another chance, unless he's worn out his chances by now!

Listen, women, it's YOUR fault that men are so mean.

You say that you want a nice guy who will treat you like a respectable human being, but your actions prove that that's just not true. Guys who are mean are the way they are because time and time again you're telling men everywhere that if they ever want to die with any level of action under their belts, they HAVE to be complete @ssholes and veer as far away from the Nice Guy image as humanly possible.

There ARE good guys out there, but they're completely invisible to your tracking systems. I'm a good guy myself. I guess you can imagine how many girlfriends I'VE had, can't you?

Simply different wiring, during the 12 to 14th week of pregnancy the fetuses brain is doped with either testosterone or estrogen depending on if it's a male or a female. Some believe this to be a possible cause for transsexualism being that an anatomical male or females brain isn't washed at birth.

It's either that or you only go out with jerks.

You get what you expect and demand out of life. If you go forward believing men are mean, lie, and are dishonest, those are exactly the kinds of men you will attract into your life. If you see and look for the good in people, more good will come to you. It's the basic law of attraction.

There are lots of good men left in the world!!

(But then again, I'm a man, so I may be lying just to be mean.)

I think sometimes what appears to be meanness is just immaturity. Sometimes they are trying to be funny (teasing and joking) and other times they think they are being more manly by using intimidation. Other times they think they are just trying to prove a point. Most men have good points and bad points. If you are looking for a perfect one, you can just forget it. You should be able to find a good one, but you may have to show him what your likes and dislikes are and what you need him to be. Good luck and have fun looking.

Meaness is an inherent human trait. Are there good men left in this world? I don't know, are there even any good people left in this world? I don't know that either. I hope so though. Good luck to you.

How about all the women that are nasty, vicious, and self-centered (he CAN'T have a life apart from her, BUT she MUST have her OWN friends...).

And Yes, there are some of us that are not taken - although some of us were nearly Taken In by SOME women's lies. Still, I cry out loud every day, "Thank God not ALL women are bitches!"
