...where you thought or imagined you'd be in life, doing what you thought you'd do in work or career, married or single like you thought or imagined when you were a kid?

Yes or no. Why?

Not at all. I thought when I was this age that I'd be an astronaut or a doctor or maybe a computer wizard and that I'd have 2 husbands and 3 wives and about 3 or 4 kids and live in the mountains. I have no real career, no current spouse at all and I gave away the only baby I ever had. I don't actually live in the mountains either.

Hey...I'm thirty, and considering all the partying I did in my late teens/early twenties, I should have either been dead or institutionalized years ago (gave up everything 'cept pot, ciggies and caffeine in '97), so I guess I'm ahead of the game in that regard. Listen...out of all my friends -some of these people I've known for like twenty years- I'm the only one who isn't bogged down with kids in (at the very least) semi-unhappy marriages (neither my girlfriend nor myself believe in marriage or bringing kids into this increasingly f--ked up world). I mean, I've got a good job, still get in a bit of travelling, and still play music from time to time. But you know, life is what you make it, right? At this point I feel I've got it made...I've been very lucky, and very blessed.

Nope, this is a total surprise. I'm 2000 miles from where I was born and living with a man I didn't even know 8 years ago. I thought I'd spend my whole life in Wisconsin.

No not at all. Why? Because all I do is procrastinate. I'm supposed to be cleaning up right now but ,I will do it later.
