Oh, I lick the bowl after ice cream! I don't even care who's looking! At dinner, it just gives me an excuse for one more slice of bread, mmmmmm....

If there's sauce or something and bread is being served with the meal, I will sop up the rest of the sauce with a piece of bread. As far as licking a plate clean............that's just gross and I would think would be considered bad table manners.

I finish my meal and put the plate on the floor for the dog to lick clean

If you are beside yourself lick it clean but when around others use the bread or roll to get the last bit of gravy or sauce.

I never lick the plate clean....bread for me. I did, however, see an old geezer at Denny's once remove his denture and lick that clean. Gross.
