I have seen it on Broadway in NYC-and I also LOVE the movie-have any of you read the original book as well???Are there any fan clubs out there???

andrew lloyd webber is magnificent!!! i loved phantom of the opera... i cannot bring myself to watch the movie version because i loved the broadway performance so much... it's kind of like watching a movie after reading the book I guess... I do not want to set myself up for disappointment

Absolutely! I've seen it both on Broadway and London's West End, plus 6 times in Stockholm and I own the movie version. I also own all three cast albums from NY, London and Stockholm. Such an incredibly powerful musical - love it! That and Les Miserables are my two favorites, but I also love Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent, Hair and many others.

yup phantom of the opera is awesome ive been to their show in london its pretty amazing and ive seen the movie a couple of times

YES, i've seen it 3 times, last one i saw was end of august this year in vancouver, bc. the only bad part, not of the show of course, was when someone decided to sing alongside the performers and not just once....i nearly died!

of course!! and on holloween night, my gf and i are going to a local performance of The Phantom being put on by a local opera company.

definitely! caught the musical in london's west end, the movie and bought the london cast album. it's one of the best musicals ever.
