My iPod was stolen at my swim meet today and it's still under warranty so I want to know if Apple can send me a new one cuz it was stolen? Or are they cheap like that?

their warrenty only covers defects in workmanship. that means something that goes wrong - and not because of you. It does not cover theft. Sorry

no, they dont cover theft! they cant! cause anyone can just SAY their ipod was stolen and u can keep getting free ones! u should take better care of it and keep it somewhere that u know it will be safe. Apple cant come to ur house and search it down for ur ipod just to make sure u dont have it anymore. even if they could, that wouldnt prove anything cause for all they know, u could be keeping at someones house! Im very sorry it was stolen because I would be devasted if mine was so I feel for u!

I just searched I pod warranty...it's on Acrobat so I couldn't copy it but under warranty exclusions it lists fire, flood, or any other external cause (that would be loss or theft)...so the answer is no.

If you bought it with a credit card that offered theft insurance, otherwise you'll just hear them snickering when you call the Apple help line.
