Most of the current conflicts are the results of poor judgments in the past on the part of the US, and subsequently supporting corrupt regimes and dictators, using economic sanctions, interferring in domestic problems of other nations and both North Korea and Iran felt that to protect themselves from aggression of the US and US allies needed to have equal armament. They know what happened in Korea, Laos, Vietnam and diplomacy could have prevented those problems and the current problems in the Middle East. But that diplomacy must be intelligent and knowledgeable by people that know the customs, culture and languages. It is true that Hilter could not be appeased by diplomacy and neither could Stalin, but we alienated Mainland China with a poor ambassador (Hurley) who had a personal animosity against Mao Tse Tung, and we then supported Chiang Kai Shek, who was buddies with Big-eared Tu, the leading drug smuggler in China and he was supported by Everett Dirksen, Henry Luce, and even FDR...so we created a schism between ourselves and China. Vietnam was another fiasco, as we supported the French against the Vietnamese, refused to even talk to Ho Chi Minh, and then supported a corrupt regime to 'free' the Vietnamese. We supported Marcos who pillaged the Philippines and wonder why they don't want US military bases there. We supported Noreiga with his venality. Countries no longer trust us to be fair as in some of the Central American countires, we worked on both sides of the fence. Wise men reason out problems, fools fight. Also your country is no longer your own...it is owned to a large extent by foreign countries....Honolulu is owned by the Japanese...100% of commercial real estate is Japanese owned...but only 80% of Los Angeles. Entertainment is slowly falling to Japanese control....The Japanese control large holdings in New York along with British and Dutch investments and control. We spend a billion dollars a day in Japan and we can't sell much there as we are blocked in any possible way.

dear liberal:
Im sorry you have fallen for the whole underdog vs bully crap that some people have been feeding you, before u get all ofended let me tell you I kind of agree with you but i wanna help you realize that the world is not all black and white as you have been lead to believe, sorry to mess up your belief system there. Im sure the hard core conservatives will seek a bill of some sort that allows the government to hush you and horsewipp people like u when they disagree with the government, they'll probaly call it the "dixie chix act"..hehe no seriously. Our foreign policy sux its true but running away at this time in the game is tantamout to cowardice and believe it or not :
a. leaving right now would long term cost more american lives than with our current involvement, (it's all in the history books, look it up).And trust me Im a soldier and dont wanna die but id rather its me that meets a fiery death than my family or even you sitting in your couch eating donuts and drinking decaff from starbucks..
and..
b. We are spanking some *** ourselves take my word for it, they get the message.. and if we stop all we gonna do is recieve , while for now is all give and take.
most importantly at this point in time could've and should've are pointless once u open that door it cannot be closed its do or die, as crazy as "bubjiah" sound he is right "the stakes are high"...
p.s ( keep using your voice and don't sit down on the internet on election day, use your voice)

Yes, the kids have the bully surrounded. Nobody wants to hear his brand of 'diplomacy.' He needs to take his marbles and go home.

Well, its strange to hold a political view that requires that your own country lose to advance that view. I wouldn't think it would be a popular way to go. Plus you'd leave yourself open to being accused of being unpatriotic. After all it isn't the home team you're rooting for here.
