I haven't seen Saw 3 yet, but you have to see 1 to understand everything in part two, and I imagine you will be completely clueless if you don't see Saw 1 and 2, before 3... I don't know what Sugarbdp is talking about... Obviously wasn't paying enough attention to the movie.

You have to see the first two. The third one ties them all together and it won't make any sense if you haven't seen the first two. Sorry dude. I just saw 3 20 minutes ago. It was good. This is a really great series.

Watch the first 2 before seeing the third. I don't know about the third one yet as I haven't seen it, but Saw 2 could stand alone as a movie if you hadn't seen the first one, although the storyline was a helluva lot better knowing what was going on prior to viewing.

see the first 2 and after that you'll be hooked and definatly have to see the 3rd one. I just got back from Saw III and i have to say they are yet to dissapoint me. it's not so much scary as it is interesting to know who came up with this idea and wrote this story. go see the first 2 i guarantee you want be let down. and you'll be craving to see Saw III

Why deprive yourself? See saw one and all. You worked hard to bring the see saws before you; you earned it, now enjoy it without feeling guilty. See saw one and all!

I suggest watching I and II first. its a psychological think film and you'll appreciate it more. I haven't seen III but I will after my boyfriend and I watch II this weekend cause he hasn't seen that part yet. If you go straight to III, you'll miss out on what the 'message' is. Its up to you but you'll probably have questions to ask after going straight to III!
