Depending on the size of the hole, you may be able to use wood putty. After it dries you will be able to sand it smooth and paint it. Talk to a hardware store or Home Depot employee. They will be able to help you. And next time, punch a pillow.

RE:
How can I fix a hole in a wooden door without replacing the wood or using plaster because plaster didn't work?
I have serious anger issues and get very mad! I get mad at my brother and busted his door so now he had a fairly big hole in his wooden door cause I kicked it. My mom is making me fix it! I tried patching it up with plaster but that didn't work. And I would not have any idea how to replace the...

When I was a kid I got mad at something and punched an oak tree. Bad idea. Broke my hand. So look on the bright side: you only damaged a door and doors can be repaired. I'm guessing that it's a hollow core door. One approach is to clear away loose pieces, then squirt expanding foam sealant into the hollow area around the damage. Let it expand and cure according to directions on the can, then carve away a bit of the surface and fill the area with something like Minwax High Performance Wood Filler, which you can get at hardware stores. Sand the repair flush then repaint the door. I'd certainly try to repair the damage before I'd think about replacing the door. Good luck and next time, count to 10. That sometimes worked for me.....

Use "body putty" used in the automotive body repair industry. It comes in 2-parts, a can of bluish base putty and tubes of accelerator additive. You can buy it at Pep Boys.
Depending on the size of the hole, if it is large you may have to add a filler foundation by stuffing the hole with newspaper and/or cheese cloth. You might have to "anchor it in place with 2-part epoxy glue or a Super Glue. Make sure the "filler" is below the flush line of the door (below the surface of the plane of the door), and does not protrude out of the hole.
Mix the 2-part body putty in small amounts (1/4 cup) and apply into the hole with a putty knife or spatula. Let it "set". It will heat up during this process as it hardens in a matter of minutes. Work fast, but carefully. Have paper towels ready to wipe off excess.
After each layer sets, mix another batch and apply. Keep repeating until the hole is completely covered, making sure with your putty knife that it is flush with the rest of the door surface.
After the last layer sets, you can then sand it smooth.
Apply primer paint.
Finally paint the area the same color as the rest of the door.

Depends how big the hole is.One way I could think of would be to get a hole saw (it's a special bit for the drill) and drill at the site of the hole. Now cut into another similar piece of wood with the same bit, and clue in the round piece you just cut.Sand around it and paint/varnish...

Unless it is a fancy door, I'd just go buy another door and hang it. You can repair the door but unless you have good carpentry skills it will look patched. Try to get a handle on your anger. It can be done through counseling. I've been there myself. I don't let things bother me to the point of losing control now.
PS. Doors aren't all that expensive unless it is custom and fancy.

If you are planning to start on your woodworking project, this isn't something you should use, it's something that you would be insane not to. Go here https://tr.im/KABej
Truth is, I've been a carpenter for almost 36 years, and I haven't found anything like this for less than 10's of thousands of dollars.
