I thinik it is because of our memory is longer in the past and shorter in the future! Yes im sure that is right. right?

Hawking discusses this in his book "A Brief History of Time" He essentially expresses that it is because we are dominated by the arrow of time. which is always pointing toward the future. However, he speaks of time as a river. Therefore, There must be a formed portion of that river up ahead somewhere. One interesting aspect of this in particle physics is that Richard Fineman, The other physics genius of the last century, points out that if viewed mathematically that Antimatter particles such as the positron (the antimatter twin of the electron) fits the mathematical image of a particle coming at us in the river of time from the other direction... the future. Time is the last component of the the forces of nature that has no real definition in physics. Essentially it is the measure of change. Therefore, Eternity and Heaven occur where there is no change. However, we know that speed and mass can change the measure of time and even stop it. There is no Universal heartbeat. Time is a very local thing governed by these forces. The faster we go the slower time travels for us. As we approach the speed of light the slower time is for those traveling at that speed. The Twins Paradox is a well proven concept. If twins were to separate and one remained on earth while the other traveled off into space in a space vehicle capable of travel near the speed of light when the twin returned he would only be a few years older (for real) but his twin and the rest of the world would have been thousands of years older depending on how fast he was able to travel and how far he went. In the depths of a Black Hole, a real astronomical entity, time stops completely as the local gravity becomes infinate. Therefore Time is a real touchable entity not just a concept. Still freaks me out to try and contemplate it.

Hey "wise man", read Einstein, time is relevant.
We are living in between the past and the future, the future is just the outcome of past movement.
I drop a glass on the floor, it will not clean its self up by rewinding its movement that has already taken place.
There is no such thing as time, its just a measure ment.
You have to compact, .001 nano/sec, because that is the equilvence of how much move ment you can make via the speed.
Time is just speed, compact into a certain amount of space.
You can't just label .001 nano/secs you also have to give it a postion in space.
You can't remember the future cleary because it has not happened yet, therefore are brains can not remember what has not happened yet, although I have heard of people telling the future before.

We remember past, because it has passed and we were witness to it. But future is yet to arrive; hence where is the question of re-membering or re-collecting? You perhaps meant 'predict' in place of 'remember' so far as the future is concerned. All factors that result in an happenning is not known to us, as a result, we can not predict happennings before those happen. Particularly, the variable factors make things unpredictable. This is better explained by the Quantum Mechanics in physics.

How can anyone "remember" something that hasn't happened?
One can "remember" a diary of planned events for the future - like tv guide for the week, Olympics for 2008, etc but as regards to "remembering the future" .. WHAT is the future?

Life is not only remembering.......it is combination of remembering and hope. So God separate past and future by a wall......where we are sandwitched between remembering past and hoping for the future.

Memory, by definition, is the recollection of a PAST event. You can't "remember" something in the future because it hasn't happened yet...

Because the past happened, so you either lived it or read about it...the future hasn't happened yet so you cannot remember it
