If I were the current President of the USA, I would be so ashamed, I’d probably apologise profoundly to the whole nation and to the world and then I'd curl up and die.
1. England
2. There is no such war. This is something invented by the person mentioned above. It is rather unfortunate that so many people are being killed because of it.
3. I would destroy the military complex ruling the country and its foreign policy. Instead, I would channel these enormous funds into creating alternative eco friendly fuel which will:
*make the economy strongerand less dependent on the oil providers
*secure cleaner air for my kids and the future generations
*enable the USA to become a world leader (and may be a world supplier of this fuel and of new technologies)
*prevent future American governments from meddling unnecessarily into the affairs of other countries and, ultimately, save quite a lot of lives
*improve the country’s image, the standard of living, the health and the social programmes
*allow the US to lead the total ban on nuclear and on weapons for mass destruction
*enable me as a president to get my head out of the Saudi’s backside
4. The way illegal immigration is handled in any country– in a strict and just way. You have a fantastic Constitution, try to change it less. I would allow for an amnesty and will keep the diversity as it breads future. While spending a lot on guarding the borders, I would also encourage the best of the world’s skilled workers and brains to come and settle legally in the US.
5. I would ask myself as to what the reasons for these attacks were. While chasing the culprits and punishing them in accordance with INTERNATIONAL law, I would try not to forget about Vietnam, Iraq etc. You don’t need that much ammunition to prove that you are right.
One question, if I may? Isn’t Handle a German composer and if you meant "handle" three times in your question - in which grade do you learn about these things?

1. United Kingdom
2. All troops belonging to the United States and the United Kingdom would be pulled out of Iraq immediately. The Iraqi nation would be handed over to Syria. All Muslim extremists in the US and UK would face the death penalty immediately and without trial.
Also the Vail and the Muslim dress code would have to be changed immediately so that communities that are predominately Catholic would not feel so uncomfortable.
3.The Economy in the US would be boosted by building higher cites and better and bigger homes for everyone. The Strong alliance between the US and UK would be strengthened further by amalgamating both countries and forming the Imperial Kingdom. This would allow for better trade, education and health care services.
4. Immigration would be halted immediately a 100ft white wall would be built around the kingdom which would not only keep intruders out but it would protect the kingdom from rising sea levels. Also the wall would be an architectural masterpiece that would have fabulous apartments built into the sides and there would be parks and cities built on top of the Atlantic.
5. I would have went to war on a religion not a country it would have been the beginning of the 21st century crusades.

1. Bulgaria
2. Would have never gone into Iraq, would not have helped the Talibans against the Russians. Would have worked with the UN more. Problem once created, I would withdraw the troops from Iraq and support the democratic forces there.
3. I would put a lot of funds into education, research and technology development to create new jobs. I would try to make the economy less and less dependent on petrol and environmentally friendly. I would promote the production of economic cars and inventions such as Segway by lowering taxes for those industries and combining it with nationwide marketing. Would make the USA the intellectual core of the planet.
4. I would invest in Mexico and offer jobs preferentially to those illegals who decide to go back. Would provide legal options for controlled immigration, based on labour market research and needs. Would work with the Mexican government.
5. Should have taken down the two planes upon being informed that they are deviating from their course and are not properly responding. Would not have waited for the second one to crush into the second tower - 20 minutes time, the plane must have been over the sea. Should have taken quiet action to trace the bank accounts of suspected terrorist groups, infiltrate them and study them well. Would have acted quietly to destroy them.

Long question. Here's what I would do.
1) United States
2) More law enforcement and less military. Our troops are not very well trained in guerrilla warfare so they've found themselves fighting in situations that they weren't trained for and don't have experience to fall back on. Also, and occupying country has never done a good job keeping the peace: the occupied country feels oppressed and the result is violence that results in dead civilians. Israel and other countries use profiling to find potential terrorists and I would encourage the same. Grandma sitting in her wheelchair doesn't need to be wanded. The Arab-looking man with the brown skin and long beard does (I myself am Black so don't get on me about the injustice of racial profiling, in certain situations it is appropriate). More border security to keep the te and much tougher security at the airports(government funding for the screening of luggage at airports). Tighter port security is also needed. The military operations that would continue would be on a much smaller scale. Let special forces handle the job of hunting down the terrorist leaders. I wouldn't have allowed a group of Afghanis to go in to finish off Osama.
3) First of all, if I had been elected in 2000 I would have done what Al Gore wanted to do, put funding for Social Security in a "locked box." That way we wouldn't have to worry about whether or not social security should be privatized (no). If I were elected now, the first thing I would do would be to raise taxes and balance the budget. I would also cut spending until the national debt was reduced to a manageable size. Also, the minimum wage would be raised and set so that every 5 years it would be adjusted for inflation.
4) All illegal aliens currently living in the country would be granted amnesty and made citizens provide they learn how to speak English. This country only has one national language and if you want to live here, you need to speak that language. Also, for a country as diverse as the United States there needs to be some kind of unifying force that ties everybody together, and I believe that language could be this force. After this, I would essentially lock down the border along Mexico and Canada. Building a wall gives off a bad feeling. More manned posts and monitoring of those that enter the country who are not citizens.
5) Lastly, I'm sorry to say that I probably would not have done much in response to the terrorist attacks prior to 9/11. I would have killed Osama bin Laden after the USS Cole, but by that point 9/11 scheme was already developed to the point of no return. As for the bombings of all of the embassies, I wouldn't have viewed the groups responsible as a major threat in any way to the U.S. I still feel that the major threat posed by terrorist organizations is the fear that they instill upon the country. A nuclear attack would be horrible, make no mistake about it. However, I feel that to be terrified to the point that you are willing to give up the freedoms and liberties that the United States was founded on would be far worse.
Hope this wasn't too long, but this is what I would do if I were president. Hope this does something to satisfy your curiosity.

I admire your desire for exactness.
1) America
2) I'd keep trying to locate the main terrorist cells. I know it looks bad over there, and I hate that we have lost good men and women, but people seem to forget that hundreds of thousands died in Vietnam for virtually nothing. We've only lost a few thousand in the war on terror, and this is a war that could decide how we get to live our life in our own country.
3) The economy has been wreck for the last 50 years. It all started when women replaced men in the factories durning WW2. Ever since then we've been trying to place 2X people in 1X jobs.
4) The biggest problem with illegal immigration is that the vast majority of them are good people, and they earn the trust of Americans near them - especially police. Just step inside a Mexican restaurant at lunch time and see how many badges are in there. What would I do? I'd have to convince local authorities in thousands of little towns to send the Mexicans back home. That won't be easy. As far as the borders - we simply don't have the manpower.
5) The very nature of terrorism makes it something extremely hard to stop - or predict. I would have done exactly what Bush did.

I am an American and I have an Associate of Arts Degree. If I was President of the United States, I would have handled the War on Terrorism by sticking to pursuing the Al Qaeda Network in Afghanistan and I would have steered clear of Iraq altogether. I would have called up warplanes from the U.S. Navy and Air Force, and I would have used Special Forces troops on the ground because they are the only troops suited to fight the Al Qaeda Terrorists. Second, I would have not spent the surplus left behind by President Clinton because the economy would have been stronger, even though the World Trade Center was destroyed. I would have handled Illegal Immigration by deploying 100,000 National Guard troops along the Canadian and Mexican Borders to help guard the borders, I would have built fences along both borders to provide a physical barrier, and I would have beefed up the INS to hunt down and deport illegal immigrants. Finally, I would have given the order to the CIA when they had snuck up on Osama Bin Laden to assassinate him, and systematically assassinated every high ranking Al-Qaeda Commander in Afghanistan using covert CIA operatives.

1. US and A
2. Alow Iraqis the ability to 'settle' land specifically set aside for the individual religions there. dedicate the troops to the safe passage of the citizens, and the protection of a central 'capital', in which all religions are expected to live. Give the migrants 1 year to move, and bomb the **** out of the rest of the country
3. Publicise the best economy in 15 years all day, every day. Make sure the people know which party is responsible.
4. Abolish welfare, use emminent domain to take possession of ALL borders, build prisions along the borders, and turn every inland prision into a free public college. Simplify the path to citizenship, right along with the taxes so that any newspaper reader (6th grade education) could understand either with minimal assistance.
5. Either Devide and Conquor, or sequester and annaihalate. both work prety well.

1) China (Canadian) History/English B.A; MA
2) Slowly pull out of Iraq with a greater UN presence. Put much more energy into finding Osama.
3) More tax breaks for lower-middle income families. Heavy taxes on corporations.
4) Give residence status to any Illegal immigrant that has lived in the USA illegally for more than 5 years.
5) I wouldn't have bombed the Sudan, Bosnia, Iraq in the 90s. I wouldn't have initiated sanctions on Iraq...UN estimates 500,000 Iraqis died from sancitons in the 90s. I would order Israel to pull out of the West Bank, Gaza. I would shut down many of our military bases around the world, and build hospitals. I would close Guantanamo, and all other secret prisons. I would greatly reduce our number of nuclear weapons, and initiate for Russia to do the same. Not be so tongue in cheek with the Bin Laden royal family in Saudi Arabia.

I'd rather be ruler of the world.
1. Arkansas, USA
2. Support the elected governments in both countries to get their own security forces in place and at the same time kill as many terrorist as possible including in the uncontrolled regions of Pakistan. Seal off the borders with Syria and Iran. Turn Iran into a nuclear waste land.
3. The economy would be fine if the government would quit meddling with it. Not a lot the president can do about that but where I could I would eliminate meddling bureaucrats and send them to work in the private sector.
4. Seal the borders if you don't have a border you don't have a country. I don't care if I had to call out every Guardsman in the country I would get th border sealed. Hunt down the illegals and deport them, I don't care if its millions, we could use trains if we have to. I would take the quotas off legal immigration and make it quicker and easier to become a legal immigrant. We would set up simple requirements to be a legal immigrant and if you met them you're in. But one of the requirements would be a sponser or proof you could support yourself.
5. Hindsight is always 20:20 but sitting around waiting to be attacked is not a defense. As President Clinton said "we will hunt the people who are responsible down and bring them to justice, if he had 911 might not have happened. And as President Bush said, " We are at war with terrorist and the nations that support and harbor them" I would make sure there was no doubt about that, that's why Iran would be in flames.
